Pompy has two decades of experience working in health care and financing in India. During her tenure at ICICI Bank for almost 10 years, she led the development of health and micro insurance products to increase access to affordable health care. More recently, Pompy offered advisory services for the development of health insurance products for companies such as Reliance General Insurance Company, Manipal Group and IFMR Rural Finance. Pompy also contributed to the development of Aadhaar (the world's largest biometric ID system, with over 1.123 billion enrolled members) and Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY), a health insurance plan for the below-poverty-line families with the objectives to reduce expenditures on health and increase access to health care.
Pompy is a strong advocate for using market-based approaches to tackle social challenges. She firmly believes in aligning financial incentives to drive improved quality of care among providers and brings strong relationships with government, private sector, and development partners to the team.
